Eco Tulum Resort & Spa - Hosts the Forum of Healers
Tulum, Mexico - October 26 - 31, 2007
Spiritual healers yearning to deepen their understanding of the universe and participate in the rituals of ancient indigenous cultures need to look no further than the sky above Tulum during EcoTulum’s second annual week-long celebration of the moon, featuring tribal dancing, jam sessions, ritual ceremonies and a variety of holistic demonstrations and classes.
From October 26 - 31, 2007 soul seekers and those interessted in the pwer of healing are invited to extol the magic and beauty of the moon through a program of daily activities, beginning with an opening cosmic ceremony led by shaman Maria Galindo and closing with a spectacular beachside fete repletewith bongo music, fire dancing, and performance art. "This is a total-immersion opportunity for healers to experience and learn holistic therapies," says general manager Antonio Machain. "Our daily programs are designed to connect the participant with the universe and feed the soul with the same knowledge found in the indigenous cultural traditions."
At dusk, Aztec dancing and a ceremonial farewell to the sun set the stage for a two-hour ritualistic journey into the Temazcal, an ancient Mayan steam bath and purifies the body and mind with the use of hot steam generated by herb-infused water poured over fire-heated lava rocks. Newley cleansed when they reemerge, guests are led down to the beach where the celebration continues with a final toast and colorful extravaganza in honor of the full moon.
