The TV series will be seen on The Beauty Show’s Web TV in addition to nation-wide cable stations starting in the Fall of 2008.  

With the operative word for 2008 being “change,” a new television show has rolled into town just in time to kick-off of a new year and dramatically change the lives of two Valley women. The Beauty Show, a new makeover reality TV series, is teaming up with Arizona SpaGirls to host open auditions beginning on February 9th at Dolce Salon & Spa in Chandler.  A panel of local health and beauty experts will be on-hand to select the two makeover candidates, who will receive more than $30,000 in services and star in the 13-week reality series that follows them through their life-changing transformation.

Open auditions are 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. as follows:

The Beauty Show will feature two makeover teams composed of the Valley’s A-list cosmetic surgeons, dentists, med spa providers, fitness instructors, hair designers, makeup artists, fashion consultants, nutritionists, career councilors and business coaches. Only serious applicants who truly embrace this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make themselves over from the inside out will be considered. And while a snaggle tooth and sob story are not requirements, the panel is seeking candidates at crossroads in their lives who demonstrate resolve and enthusiasm for achieving specific career and life goals. 

Makeover candidates should be:
*    28 years of age or older
*    Have a compelling reason why The Beauty Show would help them achieve specific goals
*    Willing to loose 10 to 25+ pounds
*    Able to allocate 15 hours per week to fitness training, meal planning, journaling and outside               appointments throughout the 13-week period
*    Responsible and dedicated to achieving the goals outlined by their team experts
*    Comfortable sharing both the challenges and the rewards of their transformation on camera
*    Available for press and media appearances

At open auditions, potential candidates are invited to fill out an application, have a photo taken, and briefly meet the casting panel.

The Beauty Show Make-Over TV Series:
The “Make-Over Series” will be debuting in Salt Lake City and Phoenix/Scottsdale cities starting in January 2008.  The exciting new series will feature beauty, health, cosmetic surgeons, cosmetic dentists, fitness and fashion industry professionals who will become the “celebrity advisors” for “The Beauty Show – Make-over Team."  

 
There will be three teams picked to take part in the TV series.  Each “Team” will be given one special person that will go through the make-over process according to the plan the “Team” maps out over a three month period.   The “Team” will be able to present the best their industry has to offer while working together as a team to give the client the best make-over possible.

At the age of 12 she moved to Durban, South Africa with her family and her acting work continued in various school productions. She was inspired by the work at The Market Theatre in Johannesburg having been lucky enough to see a production of "Woza Albert" there.

Her love of the Arts led to further study in a combined Arts degree back in the UK.

She took up Journalism on the student newspaper and worked as a reporter after leaving university, covering stories for newspapers and radio. Her work in radio and television has given Jo the opportunity to work as a presenter for the BBC, ITN, The Weather Channel and as a travel reporter for Sky Television she has the enviable job of travelling to some of the most exotic corners of the world. As a radio host she has worked for Capital Radio, Talk Radio and the US Channel CNBC. Jo manages to combine her presenting with her work as an actor.
